The Journal, Jan 23, 1924:
"Warkworth and Vicinity
"Mrs. H.A. White, who for nearly all her lifetime, has been a resident of Percy township, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Jones, of Peterboro, on January 16th, at the age of 77 years and 11 months. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Harry Jones, Peterboro, Mrs. F. Wilson, Percy and Mrs. E. Rosevear, Hamilton township, and one son Mrs. [sic] Freeman White of Percy. The remains were interred at Warkworth cemetery on Thursday, January 17th."81

The Journal, Jan 30, 1924:
"In the early morning of January 16th there passed away at the home of her son-in-law, Harry W. Jones, 473 Bolivar St., Peterboro, Mrs. Harriet A. White, relict of the late Joseph White.
"The deceased, who was in her 78th year, had been a resident of Peterboro for two years. With her husband, who predeceased her nearly fourty [sic] years, she was a pioneer resident of Percy Township, where they were both born and spent their lives. The late Mrs. White was a devote [sic] Methodist, being a faithful member of Dartford Methodist Church ever since its erection about 40 years ago; also member of Women's Missionary Society. Being a woman of sterling character and kindly Christian qualities, she leaves behind cherished memory of seldom, if ever, uttering harsh words and of being a true friend and good neighbour in her home district.
"The surviving members of the family are: Freeman White, of the Percy homestead; Irwin of California; Mrs. Harry W. Jones of Peterboro; Mrs. Edgar Rosevear, Port Hope; Mrs. Frank Wilson, of Percy Township; and one brother, Ransome Spencer, of Percy. A third son, Truman, a member of the Royal North West Mounted Police, died in South Africa some years ago, after service in the South African War.
"A short funeral service was held at the home--on Bolivar St., conducted by Rev. R. Bamforth, of Mark St. Methodist Church.
"The remains were taken by train to Hastings, thence to Dartford Church, where service was conducted by Rev. S.A. Kemp. Interment took place at Warkworth Cemetery."
