NAME: His last name is also given as TROYE, as TROIX, and as TROUE.109
DEATH/BURIAL: I'm not sure the source is correct in attributing this date and place of death to this Francois. The burial certificate contains his name (as Francois LAFRANCHISE), date of death and date and place of burial. It gives his age as 47 (rather than 39) and his residence as Varennes, and says he was married at Varennes and that no mention is made of his wife.109 |
