Marquette Mining Journal, Marquette, Michigan, January 17, 1905:
"Andrew Trudeau, whose death was briefly announced in the Mining Journal yesterday morning, was one of the early settlers of Marquette, having been a resident of this city for 44 years. He was 58 years of age, having come to the then village of Marquette while still a boy. He has a record of 15 years of service with the old MH & O railroad and of later years has been in the berry business, also conducting at the barroom at the Carp furnace location. The deceased leaves 6 sons, Joseph, George, John and Edward of Marquette, William of Calumet and Louis who is out west. The daughters are Emma, Lillian, Mrs. Fred Derocher and Mrs. J. Lajeunesse. Mr Trudeau was a member of the St. Jean-Baptiste Society. The funeral will be held from the home of his son George, 526 Oak St. tomorrow morning at 9:00 with services from St. John's Church."284 |
