Obituary, Kingston Whig-Standard, Tues. Apr 16, 1929:
"MRS. NORMAN WEMP
"Stella, Apr. 16:--We have to record the passing, in the early hours of Sunday morning, April 14th, [of] a well known and highly respected resident of Amherst Island, in the person of Margaret Brown, wife of Norman Wemp, after a brief illness of heart trouble. The late Mrs. Wemp was the eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Brown, who were life long residents of the third concession. She had been a patient sufferer for some weeks and all that medical skill could do was done, but of no avail. The only living member of her family, a sister, Mrs. Duncan Wemp, was unable to be present owing to the intervening distance from Viking, Alta. Deceased is also survived by her husband and an adopted son, Arthur."158 |
