| Obituary, Pierce County Herald, Pierce County, Wisconsin, Jan 11, 1940: "Wm. Cornman, Former Local Resident, Dies in Chicago "William Cornman, who until about 12 years ago made his home in Ellsworth, died at Chicago last Monday at the age of 81 years. "Wm Beverly Cornman was born at Red Wing, MN, April 14, 1859. He moved to Ellsworth with his parents when a child. At the age of 21 he was married to Miss Almina Leach of Trimbelle. Nine children were born to this union, one passing away in infancy. HIs wife died in 1922. For the past twelve years he had made his home with his daughters in Chicago, with the exception of a few months in summer which he spent in Ellsworth. "Surviving are eight children--Mrs. Wm Freischlad, Mrs. Ernest Garrett, Mrs. Earl Berger, and Hallie Cornman, Chicago, Mrs. Ted Sippel of McKenna, IL, and Mrs Emil Barr, Mrs. Roy Madson, and Carl Cornman, Ellsworth. "The remains were brought here yesterday and funeral services took place at 2 o'clock this afternoon from the Halliday chapel, Rev. Paul Graham officiating.
