Helen was Secretary of the Women's Association, Castleton Methodist (by then Castleton United) Church in 1949. She was President of the Women's Missionary Society at one point. She organized the Baby Band in 1948. In 1953, she helped reorganize the Mission Band. She was a life member of the United Church Women (transferred from the Women's Missionary Society). Some time after 1933, she became President of the Epworth League, which became the Young People's Union.188
